Adding Legacy Ports to Current Macintoshes

There are a wide variety of USB add-ons available to add serial, parallel, video in/video out, sound in/sound out, SCSI and even ethernet ports to an iMac or iBook. This is handy for people who want to preserve their investment in existing equipment, although the adapters are somewhat expensive.
The number of serial and ADB adaptors for USB is dwindling due to diminished demand. People who have older serial printers seem to need the serial to USB adaptors the most, but find it's often cheaper to buy a new printer.
