Users needing to view PDF files in their web browsers should download Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or later. It installs a plug-in which allows any Mac OS X web browser to view PDF files found online from within a browser window.
Note: The version of the Safari web browser included with Mac OS 10.4.X (Tiger) has built-in PDF handling and does not need the Adobe or 3rd party plug-ins which were necessary in earlier versions.
