What is iWork?


iWork is a collection of Office-type applications available for purchase from Apple. The current version is iWork '09 and includes the following applications:
  • Pages '09 is a streamlined word processor for the Mac. It offers multiple display modes, formatting options, change tracking, graphics tools, templates, importing and exporting to Microsoft Word, and more.
  • Numbers '09 is a spreadsheet application, including tables, an interactive print view, importing and exporting to Microsoft Excel, customizable templates, charts, images and labels.
  • Keynote '09 is a presentation software that includes text effects and transitions, animations, voice-over recording, multimedia integration, built-in themes, the ability to export to YouTube, iTunes, or publish online with iWeb, and can import and export from Microsoft PowerPoint.
University affiliates can purchase the iWork package at a reduced price by visiting the Education section of theApple Store.
